What is a South America Overland
Tour?
Overlanding is where it all
began for Kumuka, so we’ve been running this type of tour
for over 25 years.
Overland tours provide the adventure
traveller with diversity and excitement. For
the duration of your tour our famous blue 4WD will virtually
become your home. Relax with your fellow passengers as
our expert team impart their years of knowledge and experience
to you, enabling you to see all the hidden gems, as well
as the major sights.
With our extensive South American set-up,
Kumuka provides you with safe transport, professional
crew and all the necessary equipment. Overlanding
with Kumuka can work out much cheaper than trying
to do it yourself, not to mention a great way of meeting
amazing, like-minded people.
On an overland tour, everyone
pitches in- from setting up camp to the washing up. The
camaraderie that develops between Kumuka passengers is
fantastic, as all overlanders-regardless of age- have
a lust for life and adventurous spirit in common.
Our South America overland tours
use a combination of camping and a variety of other accommodation,
the ratio of which is dependent on tour. Other accommodation
can vary from small hotels and guest-houses to lakeside
cabins or family stays, giving you the opportunity to
experience so much more of South America. When camping,
we use a mixture of fixed camps and free camps. We provide
you with dome tents (but you’ll need to bring your own
sleeping bag and mat), which are designed for two people.
Don’t worry if you’re travelling solo, you’ll share on
a same gender basis.
